The Employment Conundrum.
In recent months, there has been considerable debate over the issues of 'jobless growth’ and ‘rising unemployment' which seem to originate from certain headline statistics suggesting a fall in employment between 2011-12 and 2015-16. These have been compared to vigorous growth in earlier years, since 2004-05. IMA’s research team examined this in some detail and found that the popular notion is a simplistic one. The real picture is perhaps more positive.
