Rohit Manchanda has been the NSW Trade & Investment Commissioner for India since October 2009. He is responsible for attracting foreign direct investment, promoting trade and maintaining high-level government and business relationships for NSW. Mr Manchanda was a finalist for the NSW Premier’s (Chief Minister) Public Service Awards for 2018. His career, spanning more than 25 years, has included roles in both the public and the private sector. Prior to his current role, Mr Manchanda was the Chief Representative in India for the Mayor of London’s Office and the London Development Agency. From 2002 to 2007, he worked for the Australian Trade Commission in Mumbai and was awarded the Global Austrader Award in 2006. Mr Bangera is a Governing Council Member of CGSC and a Director of the Plastics Machinery Manufacturers’ Association of India (PMMAI), the apex body for the plastics equipment manufacturing business in the country. He is also Vice Chairman of Steer Engineering.

Uday Punj’s 40 years of rich experience spans industries (construction, broadband, manufacturing, technology services) and countries (including extensive work in the Middle-East). His leadership skills focus on execution capabilities with varied market knowledge, clear and focused strategic and operational expertise coupled with a practical and efficient approach towards running projects, resulting in successful execution and value creation in his businesses. Mr Punj has to his credit many successful turnkey projects and new business initiatives. An alumnus of Modern School, New Delhi and Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, he has attended several executive education programmes at The Wharton school, the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, and at Harvard Business School.

Mr Punj plays the role of Managing Director at Chimes on a full-time basis. The Chimes Aviation Academy is India's largest ‘best-in-class pilot training academy’, offering comprehensive training for professional pilots. Launched in June 2008, it has achieved many milestones: it has the largest private-sector operating fleet, 100+ resident students, an experienced faculty, ISO 9001:2008 certification and is an Indian DGCA CAR 145 approved establishment. Incorporated in 2004, Petro IT offers asset life-cycle management solutions for Energy sector providing best-in-class software solutions. It creates value supporting the build-out, maintenance and operations of assets in oil, gas and power projects. Petro IT has its SDC in Gurgaon, supported by regional offices in the Middle East, South East Asia, Europe and America. The company has a reputable client list, comprising of leading O&G owners, including Chevron, Exxon Mobil, the ADNOC Group, Pertamina Indonesia, Petronas Malaysia, GAIL and CAIRN India.

Bharath Vijayaraghavan is the COO of Lapiz Digital, a division of Ultramarine & Pigments. Prior to taking up this position, Mr Vijayaraghavan worked for over a decade with Bajaj Finance in various capacities, including as Head of Marketing for its retail lending business. Earlier, he worked with the erstwhile Vysya Bank. In his current role, Mr Vijayaraghavan oversees the firm’s ITeS operations, which include creative services, publishing, and contact-centre operations. With over 25 years of experience in the mortgage, retail finance, publishing and outsourcing space, he has worked extensively in various geographies. Mr Vijayaraghavan holds bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in business administration.

Ursula Thakkar is currently Managing Director of Lubrizol Advanced Material South Asia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Lubrizol Corporation, (a Berkshire Hathaway company) and a leader in the specialty chemicals industry. She has a robust track record of over twenty years in building and leading companies and global teams across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Lubrizol, she headed the global fuels additives business as well as the global supply chain and planning team at Infineum. Before that, Ursula founded a consulting company providing services to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

She has held a variety of senior positions in multinational companies like Petrofina and Shell in Europe/UK and served as a Director on the Boards of Compagnie Rhenane de Raffinage (CRR), Eastham Refinery Ltd. (ERL), British Pipeline Agency Ltd. (BPA), United Kingdom Oil Pipelines (UKOP), Walton-Gatwick Pipeline Company Ltd., West London Pipeline & Storage Ltd., Gujarat Petrosynthese Ltd. and Lubrizol Advanced Materials South Asia Pvt. Ltd. Her education includes an MBA from the Harvard Business School as well as a B.E. (Hons.) degree from the University of Mumbai.
